The 4th Annual Rooftop Party was hosted on the 26 January 2008 on the roof top of the Hillside Plaza and Condotel 4 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
This year’s fund raising winter event is in aid of the Chiang Mai based and Giving Trust featured Good Cause, ‘Foundation to Encourage the Potential Development for Disabled People’
With the help of local businesses and the community this year’s Roof Top event succeeded in raising 938,000 Baht. This allowed for the purchase the vehicle which had been pledged so the foundation can reach the rural disabled and also to buy wheelchairs. It also provided for 340,000 Baht to be used for the purchase of wheelchair mobility equipment.
All of the money raised benefits the charity directly as the entire cost of the party was once again generously underwritten by Khun Wachara Tantranont and other locally based event sponsors.
The chosen charity for the previous year’s Rooftop Party was the School For Life Orphanage, (a featured Giving Trust charity) and the money raised was used to build a new dormitory and sponsor field trips.
