Angkor Hospital for Children

As well as being home to one of the most remarkable World Heritage sites in the world, Siem Reap is also home to the Angkor Hospital for Children, which serves as a training site for the World Health Organization’s Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses training program.

Angkor Hospital for Children is a pediatric teaching hospital in Siem Reap that has treated around 500,000 children since 1999. The hospital currently treats around 350 children each day through a range of both in patient and outpatient care, including dental services.

Angkor Hospital for Children, which is located in one of the poorest countries in the world, where half the children are malnourished makes no charge for inpatient care and treatment.

As well as providing vital medical and dental care, Angkor Hospital for Children trains government health care workers as part of its community enablement program.
