Chiang Mai Disabled Center
The Foundation To Encourage Disabled Persons has been in operation for the past 14 years and operates both the Chiang Mai Disabled Center and the Chiang Mai based Freedom Wheelchair Workshop.Sponsoring a wheelchair expand a life by providing instant mobility to someone who cannot walk. The gift of a wheelchair is non-abstract. Wheelchairs that are provided by the Foundation are both made and distributed, free of charge, by disabled persons helping poor and needy rural and remote area disabled persons.
The Foundation also provides the only existing rural and remote area home visit service which includes free wheelchair maintenance, free therapy, and free self-help literature, including our own “Wheelchair User Manual”.
As a legally registered Foundation, donations by US citizens are tax deductible.
