Elephant Nature Park
Set in Northern Thailand, some 60 km from the city of Chiang Mai and established in the 1990’s, the Elephant Nature Park is a rescue centre that provides a sanctuary to over 30 distressed elephants.
The Elephant Nature Park project also works in the following areas:
- Rain forest restoration through its ambitious tree planting initiative
- Cultural preservation by employing people from the local community and purchasing locally produced agricultural products
- Providing medical care to tribal villagers in the jungles of Northern Thailand
- Giving medical care to elephants in the jungles of Chiang Mai Province and beyond
- Visitor education
- Independent environmental advocacy
